Fairtrade

We are a Fairtrade school

In 2015 – 2016 we are working towards becoming a Fairtrade School. This gives our children the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of global issues and help them see how buying Fairtrade helps farmers and producers. The award aims to teach students how they can be involved in changing the world around them, encouraging them and empowering to make a difference.

There are 3 stages to completing the award and we are currently at stage one. We have been assessing the knowledge of children and staff in the school. Following this there will be an assembly all about Fairtrade for the whole school. In the next stage we complete a project across this school. Throughout each stage the children will be playing an active role in helping the lives of farmers and producers all over the world.

Pupil Voice will take the lead on our Fairtrade award and will keep everyone updated.
